That Team is charged with the following
· Ensuring you can achieve the best outcome within your Plan limits
· Ensuring you don’t pay for services
o you didn’t receive
o were not satisfactory
o were not charged in line with NDIA Pricing limits
· Advocating for you 96+
when you need it
· Supporting you in your preparation for NDIA reviews including being there
We all need a support network around us. It used to be our family, but so often nowadays, our family is not there for us. It might be as simple a they are no longer close by, but for too many people, that family that was meant to support and protect us from abuse, is the very place that abuse and neglect is coming from. Worse still, governmental intervention, that aims to take over where the family breaks down, often perpetuates the abuse or makes it even worse.
For the most vulnerable in our community, it is even easier to find this problem. Even though most Service Providers claim to provide the care and support needed, there are many tiimes this doesn't occur and even worse, there are too many times when speaking up results in even worse treatment, whether intentional or not.
The Plan Support Team, working with the wider network*, will be constantly asking the questions "Is everything OK?"and "Could things be better?" It is not enough that your basic needs are met but that you are happy with your life.
If something is not right, they are the ones who will not take no for an answer until you whole life is working well. It won't be you saying things aren't right, it will be the support team saying it and finding the next step forward
